“Nothing can stop the (wo)man with the right mental attitude from achieving his(her) goal; nothing on earth can help the (wo)man with the wrong mental attitude.”
~Thomas Jefferson
When we change how we view a situation, it can make all the difference. Take for example, you are in traffic and someone cuts you off. If you are thinking of yourself, you might get angry or frustrated. Who made you feel angry or frustrated? The number one answer it to think the driver that cut you off made you feel angry or frustrated. The fact is the driver just cut you off. They did not “make” you angry. You made you angry by how you were thinking.
Now consider this, what if you knew that person was in a rush to get to the hospital because a loved one was dying. Still angry? You get to choose how you feel. No one can “make” you feel anything you don’t want to feel without your consent!
How can you change how you feel by thinking about a situation differently?
