7 Tips for a Self-Esteem Make-Over!
When we think of 7 tips for a self-esteem “make-over,” the topics we often associate with this are a new haircut or style, fancy and stylish new clothes, and, for women, a new way of wearing our make-up. But, what if we were to give our self-esteem a make-over, which could include some of different types of action steps such as the examples listed below? What impact would it have on your life if you just felt better about who you are?
Read on for 7 tips for a Self-Esteem Make-Over!
1) Make a list of your strengths and do at least one thing on that list at least a few days each week.
2) Practice wearing only clothes that make you feel good when you wear them—even when you’re just wearing them around the house, just for you.
3) Eat foods that make your body (not just your taste buds) feel good, strong and healthy.
4) Move your body every day. Dance to your favorite song. Take a 5-mile run. Do whatever appeals to you and your current fitness level. Give your body the exercise and movement it craves and deserves.
5) Change a room in your house, even if it’s just a corner or nook, to reflect how you feel when you’re at your happiest. Visit this spot often.
6) Create a list of positive affirmations. Recite to yourself out loud at least one daily.
7) Surround yourself with people in your life who make you feel good about yourself. If nobody in your life provides this for you, consider expanding your circle of friends.
The more willing you are to give yourself and practice these 7 tips for a self-esteem make-over and other such skills, the greater your experience of self-worth will increase. This is true regardless of the level of self-esteem from which you’re starting. The power to feel better about yourself is in your hands.
