8 Life Habits of Happy People (Part 2 of 2)
Happiness is available to all of us. It has nothing to do with luck or life circumstances. We all have difficult things in our lives that cause us distress, but HOW we choose to deal with those things, is what determines our level of happiness. Here is Part 1, if you missed it.
4 More Habits of Happy People
5) They enjoy life’s pleasures and do their best to live in the present moment. This keeps them focused on the joys of the here and now, rather than lamenting the challenges of the past or waiting until a future time to appreciate what they have.
6) They exercise on a daily or weekly basis. By moving their bodies regularly, they are able to release stress and strengthen their bodies, both of which improve how they feel. (Even short burst of 10 minutes here or there throughout you day can boost your mood).
7) They are deeply committed to lifelong goals and ambitions. This can be anything from developing a talent or skill to nurturing their children to making great scientific discoveries. Whatever calls to them, they pursue it with great passion and commitment.
8) They don’t allow their stresses and frustration to rule their lives. They find and practice healthy ways to deal with life difficulties and challenges.
Bonus #) They recognize that there is no perfect and that everyone is doing his/her best. They balance thoughts WITH emotions and respond instead of react.
If you find yourself lacking in the level of happiness you desire in your life, try making some changes. You don’t have to make a lot of changes all at once. Starting with one or two small actions can make a significant difference in your life and overall wellbeing.
