8 Life Habits of Happy People (Part 1 of 2)
Being truly happy can feel like a very rare thing in our society filled with seemingly unending hustle, bustle, craziness and stress. But, what if being happy actually correlated with life habits and action rather than life circumstances? Sound a bit too good to be true? Check out the list below to see how it can be done!
4 Habits of Happy People
1) They devote both quantity and quality time to their family and friends. They invest plenty of time nurturing and enjoying these relationships in their lives. (This is why I teach all about healthy boundaries, because we need the time to invest in important people and activities in our lives).
2) They express genuine gratitude for everything they have. Expressing their gratitude fills them with joy. (It also has scientific, positive biological effects).
3) They are more often than not to be the first to offer help or support to both people they know and those they don’t personally know. (This is getting outside of yourself and thinking of others which is also a love language).
4) They are optimistic about their futures. When they look ahead, what they see lights them up and it shows in their countenance. (This is why I am such a proponent of positive psychology).
Each of us has control over our own actions, regardless of our past or present circumstances. Many things go into shaping who we have been, who we are today and who we will be in the future. How you choose to BE and ACT in your life, is completely up to you. Keep in mind that everything you do—or don’t do—every minute of each day is a CHOICE.
